Hardwood Floor Refinishing in Brookhaven, GA
If your Brookhaven project mixes hardwood refinishing with new LVP or commercial flooring, the meeting points deserve their own plan. Start with heights, doors and the way people move through the space.
ATL Rundown is operated by Final Floors LLC. Project inquiries go to Final Floors, not a contractor comparison marketplace.
What hardwood refinishing in Brookhaven includes
Worn, dull or scratched hardwood doesn't always need replacing. Final Floors sands, recoats and fully refinishes hardwood floors with a finish selected for the floor condition — reviving the wood you already own instead of tearing it out. This guide applies that work to a Brookhaven property: inventory the floor connections, access and the scope you confirm before the estimate.
- Full sanding & refinishing or lighter recoating
- Stain matching to your existing hardwood
- Dust containment during sanding
- Clean transitions between refinished and existing rooms
- An honest assessment of whether a recoat or full refinish fits your floor
Inventory the floor connections (Brookhaven)
A new surface can change more than appearance at an adjoining room.
- Photograph door thresholds, stair landings and transitions to retained floors.
- Ask how final heights, trim and door clearance will be handled.
Decide what is worth retaining (Brookhaven)
Assess the hardwood before deciding to cover or remove it.
- Show finish wear separately from damaged boards or movement.
- Review repair and refinishing eligibility, especially for engineered construction.
How a Brookhaven project runs
- 1Free in-home estimate — we assess whether a recoat, repair or full refinish fits your floor
- 2Prep & dust containment — the work area is sealed before sanding begins
- 3Sanding — the old finish comes off down to bare wood
- 4Stain & finish — review samples, confirm the selected color and apply the agreed protective finish
- 5Walkthrough — you approve the finished floor before we wrap up
