ATL Rundown · Powered by Final Floors, LLC
Plan new floors between closing and move-in.
An empty home can simplify access, but it does not make a requested work window automatic. Separate the date you can authorize access, the desired flooring window and the moving date, then check the product and site before confirming a plan.
ATL Rundown is operated by Final Floors LLC. Project inquiries go to Final Floors, not a contractor comparison marketplace.
Planning for Kennesaw. Back to your city project guide
Before access: gather what is legitimately available
Collect room information, the selected product and building requirements without assuming you can authorize work before possession or permission is confirmed.
- Identify who can approve access and when keys or authorized entry will actually be available.
- Prepare room photos, approximate dimensions and product links or labels if available.
- Check building approval, delivery, elevator, parking and work-hour requirements.
After access: confirm the floor and the scope
Existing flooring and hidden conditions can change removal, preparation and installation work. A proposed calendar needs a suitable product, a ready site and the team's confirmation.
- Review existing layers, substrate condition, moisture concerns and necessary repairs.
- Confirm materials, trim and transition pieces, delivery access and storage requirements.
- Discuss utilities, indoor conditions and other trades that could affect the selected flooring system.
Coordinate the empty-home work, not just the delivery
Agree the order of other trades, removal, preparation, flooring or finishing, inspection and cleanup. Protection and product instructions may change the sequence.
- Confirm who moves remaining belongings and who protects finished work.
- Record separate permissions for walking, furniture, rugs, rolling loads and cleaning where relevant.
- Use the exact flooring, adhesive and finish instructions; there is no universal return-to-use period.
Have a fallback if the target is too tight
Discuss a later work window, a revised moving or delivery plan, or a safe agreed phase plan where practical. Do not treat a requested date as an accepted appointment.
- Ask which rooms are essential before moving and which could wait, without assuming phasing is feasible.
- Include other trades and furniture deliveries in the same conversation.
- Compare complete written scopes and allowances in the budget planner rather than choosing by installation rate alone.
Preparing a listing, closing or rental turnover?
An agent, owner or property manager can help coordinate the flooring brief, but the person authorized to approve access, scope and payment must be identified. Share the property timeline without promising a completion date or resale return.
- Separate listing photography, showings, closing, possession and moving dates. Confirm which deadlines are fixed and which can change.
- Compare targeted repair or refinishing with replacement using condition, room use, preparation and written scope—not an assumed increase in sale price.
- Confirm who approves changes, protects completed work and receives product-specific handover instructions. Professional referral eligibility is separate and requires confirmation.
Your three-date move-in brief
Leave unknown dates blank. This organizes a conversation; it does not check availability, reserve a crew or promise completion.
