Subfloor Repair & Floor Leveling in Metro Atlanta

The floor you see is only as good as the floor under it. Final Floors handles subfloor repair, floor leveling and moisture protection across Metro Atlanta — the unseen work that decides whether your new hardwood, LVP or carpet lasts.

Direct to Final Floors. Not a bidding marketplace. A final quote follows the agreed scope.

We assess accessible substrate conditions and propose preparation or repair before installation. Concealed conditions may require additional assessment and an approved scope change once the existing floor is opened.

Scope to discuss at your estimate

  • Subfloor inspection with every flooring project
  • Repair of damaged or squeaky subfloor sections
  • Floor leveling for uneven areas
  • Moisture protection where the situation calls for it
  • Prep before hardwood, LVP/LVT or carpet installation
  • Free in-home estimate

Signs your subfloor needs work

  • Squeaky or springy spots underfoot
  • Visible dips or ridges, especially in older homes
  • Cupping, crowning or movement requiring assessment
  • You're about to install new flooring — the best moment to level

Find the cause before covering the symptom.

A squeak, dip or soft spot can have more than one cause. The condition may not be fully visible until the existing floor is removed. Flooring preparation can address suitable localized repairs and flatness needs, but it is not a substitute for resolving an active leak or a structural problem. Any work outside the flooring scope needs the appropriate provider.

What changes a subfloor estimate?

  • Wood or concrete substrate and the size of the affected area
  • How much existing flooring must be removed to reach the problem
  • Damage, movement and the selected floor's preparation requirements
  • Repair materials, preparation-product time and access

Before the assessment

  • Mark or photograph areas that move, squeak, feel soft or look uneven.
  • Share any history of leaks and whether the source has been resolved.
  • Bring details of the new floor if it has already been selected.
  • Ask how hidden conditions and changes to the repair scope will be handled.

The surface must be ready for the selected floor.

Removal can reveal work that could not be confirmed beforehand. Repairs and preparation products may add time before installation. Flatness requirements come from the flooring manufacturer; making a substrate suitably flat does not necessarily mean making the entire room perfectly level.

Plan this project

Optional preparation, not a quote or diagnosis. Skip anything you do not know. No login or contact details needed.

Changing a choice refreshes this outline. Copy any notes you want to keep first. These notes stay on this page and are not automatically carried to the Final Floors form. Your service choice updates the flooring need below. Copy these notes into the Final Floors project details after continuing, or expand “Prefer email?” below and paste them into Project details. Do not include sensitive information.

Three ways to prepare for the estimate

  1. Describe where symptoms occur and gather accessible photos.
  2. Resolve active water sources through the appropriate provider before flooring work.
  3. Arrange an assessment: leveling, repair and structural correction are different scopes.
